ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Cathryn Griffith is a visual artist who works in photography, video, graphic design and book arts.
She has had solo exhibitions at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies at Harvard University; the Centro Hispano-Americano de Cultura in Havana; the Erie History Center in Erie, Pennsylvania; the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Daytona Beach, Florida; Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida; the Coconut Grove Arts Festival Gallery in Miami, Florida; Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania; the St. Botolph Club in Boston, Massachusetts; and Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She exhibited a video in the Havana Biennial 2009.
Her work is in collections at the Art Institute of Chicago, Boston Public Library, Getty Research Institute, Mount Holyoke College, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Oberlin College, Smith College, Temple University, University of Utah and Wellesley College.
Cathryn, who lives in Boston, Massachusetts, graduated from Wellesley College magna cum laude and from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
