I feel a strong emotional attachment to Provence, where I have spent time regularly for over twenty-five years. I have harvested green beans, hiked mountains, celebrated birthdays and weddings, struggled to express myself in a new language, been painfully lonely, and wept in enjoyment of the natural beauty. It's no surprise to me that for centuries peasants, Popes, painters and travelers have been drawn to this region of southern France. My images capture the warm light and the romantic mood of the countryside.
